Overview
This project features a series of three redesigned movie posters for Nosferatu, The Golem, and Vampyr, each inspired by their original screenings in historical landmark theaters. The goal was to reinterpret these classic horror films through a contemporary design lens while honoring their cultural and cinematic legacy. Each poster uses a distinct visual approach—drawing on German Expressionism, early horror iconography, and atmospheric typography—to capture the era's mood and aesthetic. Together, the posters form a cohesive collection that celebrates the films’ enduring influence and their connection to historic theater spaces. My movie posters were created for three of Philly's historical landmark nonprofit theatres: The Hiway Theater, The County Theater, and The Ambler Theater.
Roles: Designer, Illustrator
Software: Procreate, Photoshop
This movie poster was printed large for use at the County Theatre, and smaller posters were given to moviegoers as well.
